Abstain 2–7 Days
Three to five days is ideal. Fewer than two days lowers volume and count; more than seven reduces motility. This single factor affects results more than any other.

A private collection room at our Pragathi Nagar lab, booking entirely over WhatsApp, and a report that goes only to you. Open until 9:30 PM every day, so you can come after work.
Kranthi Diagnostics performs semen analysis at Near 3 Monkeys Junction, beside Axis Bank ATM, Pragathi Nagar, Nizampet, Hyderabad 500090. There is a private collection room at the lab, or you may collect at home and bring the sample in within 60 minutes. Recommended abstinence is 2–7 days. The report is ready in 4–6 hours and is sent only to your WhatsApp. We are open every day, 7:30 AM–1 PM and 5:30–9:30 PM, so an evening visit after work is possible. No prescription is needed. To book without discussing it at a counter, message +91 99497 01414.
Most people looking for this test would rather not discuss it with anyone. That is entirely reasonable, and we have set the process up accordingly.
Choose whichever suits you. Both are entirely normal, and we will walk you through either one.
A clean, private, lockable room at our Pragathi Nagar lab. You arrive, use the room, hand over the sample, and leave. No timing pressure and no transport risk — the sample goes straight into processing.
If you live nearby in Pragathi Nagar, Nizampet or Bachupally and would prefer to be at home, we give you a sterile container and written instructions. Keep the sample close to body temperature on the way in.
Sperm motility starts declining soon after collection, and a delayed or chilled sample produces a falsely low result — which can cause needless worry and a repeat test. That is the only reason for the time limit. If reaching us within an hour is difficult, use our private collection room and the issue disappears entirely.
Five things that make the difference between a reliable result and a repeat test.
Three to five days is ideal. Fewer than two days lowers volume and count; more than seven reduces motility. This single factor affects results more than any other.
Ordinary condoms, lubricants and saliva all affect sperm and can invalidate the result. Use only the sterile container we provide.
Include the first portion — it carries the highest sperm concentration. A partial sample reads as a low count even when there is nothing wrong.
Fever, recent illness or a course of antibiotics can temporarily lower results. If you have been unwell in the past fortnight, wait — otherwise you may be testing a false low.
Heavy drinking in the days before affects both count and motility. A few normal days beforehand gives a truer picture of your baseline.
If anything here is unclear, message us before booking. We would rather answer ten questions than have you repeat the test.
Your sample is first allowed to liquefy, then examined under a microscope and measured against standardised criteria. Volume, concentration, motility, morphology and vitality are each assessed and recorded.
These are the WHO 2021 lower reference limits your report is compared against. Being below one of them is common and does not on its own mean there is a problem.
| Parameter | WHO 2021 reference |
|---|---|
| Semen volumeHow much fluid is produced in one sample | 1.4 mL or more |
| Sperm concentrationNumber of sperm in each millilitre | 16 million/mL or more |
| Total sperm numberTotal sperm across the whole sample | 39 million or more |
| Total motilityProportion of sperm that are moving | 42% or more |
| Progressive motilityProportion moving forward purposefully | 30% or more |
| VitalityProportion of sperm that are alive | 54% or more |
| Normal morphologyProportion with a normal shape | 4% or more |
| pHAcidity of the sample | 7.2 or more |
Semen parameters vary a great deal between samples from the same person — day to day, and month to month. A single low reading is common and frequently temporary. Standard practice is to repeat the test after 2–3 weeks and interpret both results together. Please do not draw conclusions from one report on your own; review it with a doctor.

The things people want to know but would rather not ask out loud.
Kranthi Diagnostics offers semen analysis at Near 3 Monkeys Junction, beside Axis Bank ATM, Pragathi Nagar, Nizampet, Hyderabad 500090. We have a private collection room at the lab, and the whole process is handled discreetly — nothing is discussed at the front desk. You can book entirely over WhatsApp on +91 99497 01414 without having to say it aloud to anyone.
You have two options. You can use our private collection room at the lab — a clean, private, lockable space with no timing pressure and no transport risk. Or you can collect at home and bring the sample to us within 60 minutes, keeping it close to body temperature on the way. We provide a sterile container and written instructions either way.
Sperm motility — the proportion of sperm that are moving — begins to decline soon after collection. If the sample sits too long or gets too cold, motility readings fall and the result no longer reflects your actual fertility. That is why the 60-minute window matters. If getting to us that quickly is difficult, our private collection room removes the timing concern entirely.
Between 2 and 7 days, with 3 to 5 days being ideal. Less than 2 days can lower the volume and sperm count; more than 7 days can reduce motility. Keeping within this window makes the result far more reliable and avoids having to repeat the test.
Do not use ordinary condoms, lubricants or saliva during collection — all of them affect sperm and can invalidate the result. Collect the complete sample, including the first portion, which carries the highest sperm concentration. Avoid alcohol and illness-related fever in the days before, as both temporarily affect results.
No, and this is important. Semen parameters vary considerably from sample to sample in the same person, and a single low result is common and often temporary. Standard practice is to repeat the test after 2 to 3 weeks before drawing any conclusion. Your doctor will interpret both results together alongside your history.
Completely. Your report goes only to you, on your own WhatsApp number. There is no discussion at the counter, no name called out, and no detail shared with anyone else. Booking by message means you never have to explain your visit to anyone at the lab.
Yes. We are open until 9:30 PM every day, including Sundays. Very few labs in Pragathi Nagar, Nizampet or Kukatpally stay open in the evening, so most people who book this test with us come after work without needing to explain an absence.
Message us on +91 99497 01414 for the current price — we will reply directly, and you can ask whatever you need to before booking. Reports are typically ready within 4 to 6 hours and are sent to your WhatsApp as a PDF that you can forward to your doctor.
No prescription is required. You are welcome to book directly. That said, semen analysis results are best interpreted by a doctor alongside your medical history, so we do recommend reviewing the report with a physician or fertility specialist.
Send us a WhatsApp message and we'll handle the rest — price, preparation and a slot, without you having to discuss it with anyone.
