Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, protect and retain your personal and health information โ€” and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 19 July 2026
In short

We collect only what we need to test you accurately. Your health information is never sold, never used for marketing, and never shared with insurers or employers. Samples are processed by NABL-accredited partner laboratories bound by confidentiality. Your report goes to you โ€” and to your doctor only if you ask us to send it.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Kranthi Diagnostics ("we", "us", "our") is a diagnostic centre at Near 3 Monkeys Junction, Beside Axis Bank ATM, Pragathi Nagar, Nizampet, Hyderabad, Telangana 500090, India.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our services or website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.

It applies to information collected at our laboratory, during home sample collection, over telephone and WhatsApp, and through kranthidiagnostics.in.

We handle this information in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and applicable medical confidentiality obligations in India.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide diagnostic services accurately and safely.

Information you give us

  • Identity and contact details โ€” your name, age, sex, mobile number, address for home collection, and email address where provided
  • Clinical information โ€” the tests requested, your doctor's prescription where you share one, relevant symptoms, medication and fasting status, and any information you tell us that affects how a sample should be taken or interpreted
  • Payment information โ€” the amount paid and the method used. We do not store card numbers, UPI PINs or banking credentials

Information generated by providing the service

  • Biological samples โ€” blood, urine, semen or other samples you provide
  • Test results and reports โ€” the values produced by analysing those samples
  • Service records โ€” appointment times, collection details and communication history

Information collected automatically on our website

  • IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and time spent, collected through standard web analytics
  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 9
Sensitive personal data

Your health information, test results and biological samples are sensitive personal data under Indian law. We treat them with a correspondingly higher standard of care, and we do not use them for marketing, profiling or any purpose other than delivering and supporting your diagnostic care.

3. Why we use your information

PurposeWhat this involves
Providing the testRegistering your booking, collecting and labelling your sample, performing or arranging analysis, and producing your report.
Delivering your reportSending your report to the mobile number or email address you gave us, usually via WhatsApp.
Communicating with youConfirming bookings, explaining preparation, arranging home collection, and answering your questions.
Clinical safetyContacting you or your doctor promptly if a result requires urgent attention, and identifying samples that must be recollected.
Quality and accreditationInternal quality control, and audit requirements associated with the accredited laboratories that process our reports.
Legal obligationsRetaining records, and disclosing information where required by law, a court, or a competent authority.
Payments and accountingIssuing receipts and maintaining financial records as required under tax law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, insurers or employers, and we do not use your health data to target you with marketing.

When you book a test with us โ€” in person, by telephone or over WhatsApp โ€” you consent to us collecting and using your information as described in this policy for the purpose of providing that test.

Where we need your information for anything beyond delivering the service you asked for, we will ask you separately and you may decline without affecting your care.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in section 12. Please note that withdrawing consent may mean we cannot complete a test already in progress, and it does not affect processing already carried out, or records we are legally required to keep.

If you are booking on behalf of a child under 18, or an adult who is unable to consent for themselves, you confirm that you are their parent or lawful guardian and are authorised to provide their information and receive their report.

5. Who we share your information with

We share your information only where it is necessary, and only with parties bound to keep it confidential.

Accredited partner laboratories

Kranthi Diagnostics is an ISO certified diagnostic centre. Certain samples are processed by NABL-accredited partner laboratories, which is how your reports carry NABL-accredited status. Those laboratories receive the sample together with the identifying and clinical information needed to analyse it correctly and issue a valid report. They are bound by confidentiality obligations and may use the information only for that purpose.

Your doctor

Where you tell us your report should also go to a referring doctor, we will send it to them. We do not share your report with any doctor you have not identified to us.

Service providers

A limited number of providers support our operations โ€” for example, our laboratory information system, website hosting, and the messaging platform used to deliver reports. They may process your information only on our instructions.

Legal disclosure

We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, by a court order, or by a government or regulatory authority acting within its powers, and where necessary to protect the safety of a person.

We do not

Sell your data ยท Share it with advertisers ยท Provide it to employers or insurers without your explicit instruction ยท Publish results in any identifiable form ยท Use your health data for marketing.

6. Reports delivered by WhatsApp

Most of our reports are sent as a PDF to the mobile number you provide, using WhatsApp. We use it because it is what our patients find easiest, and because a file you can forward directly to your doctor is more useful than a printout.

You should be aware of the following:

  • WhatsApp is operated by a third party and its own privacy terms apply to the message once delivered
  • Once the report reaches your device, it is stored there and in any backup you have enabled, and its security depends on your device
  • If you share your phone with others, they may be able to see the report
  • If you give us an incorrect number, your report may be delivered to the wrong person. Please check the number carefully when booking

If you would prefer not to receive your report on WhatsApp, tell us when booking. We will hold a printed copy at the laboratory for collection, or send it by email instead. This applies to any test, and is worth considering for results you regard as particularly private.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep records only as long as there is a clinical, legal or accounting reason to do so.

RecordRetention
Test reports and clinical recordsRetained in line with prevailing Indian medical record-keeping requirements, and to allow you to obtain historic reports and your doctor to compare results over time.
Biological samplesRetained only for the short period needed to complete analysis and permit any re-testing, then disposed of as biomedical waste under applicable rules.
Billing and payment recordsRetained for the period required under applicable tax and accounting law.
Website analyticsRetained in aggregated form; individual browsing data is not linked to your health records.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

8. How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Restricting access to patient records to staff who need it to do their work
  • Confidentiality obligations for all staff, applied as a condition of employment
  • Secure handling and labelling of samples from collection through to disposal
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website
  • Physical security of the laboratory and its records

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required under applicable law.

9. Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies to make the site work properly and to understand how visitors use it.

  • Essential cookies โ€” required for the site to function. These cannot be disabled without affecting the site.
  • Analytics cookies โ€” used to understand which pages are visited and how people navigate. This is aggregated and not linked to your health information.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how parts of the site behave.

Our website does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for health information through any web form. Bookings are made by telephone or WhatsApp.

10. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Right to access โ€” to obtain a copy of your reports and confirmation of what information we hold about you
  • Right to correction โ€” to have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected, including your name, age, sex or contact details
  • Right to erasure โ€” to request deletion of your information, subject to records we are legally required to retain
  • Right to withdraw consent โ€” as described in section 4
  • Right to grievance redressal โ€” to raise a complaint with us, as set out in section 11
  • Right to nominate โ€” to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in section 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting, in order to protect your information from being disclosed to someone else. We will respond within a reasonable period.
